LGV Class 1 Lorry Loader (HIAB) Driver

Class 1 transport with on-site lifting capability

About the Role

We’re looking for LGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers who hold HIAB / lorry loader certification and have experience carrying out lifting operations across a wide range of industrial, infrastructure, and specialist projects.

In practice, the role involves:

  • Transporting plant, materials, and equipment using HIAB-equipped vehicles
  • Operating the lorry loader crane for loading and unloading
  • Coordinating with site teams and lifting personnel to ensure safe and efficient deliveries
  • Supporting the positioning of materials and equipment on site
  • Working across the South Coast and nationwide on a wide range of industrial, infrastructure, and specialist projects

The role suits experienced LGV Class 1 drivers who are confident operating HIAB equipment, understand established site procedures, and are comfortable working within structured lifting operations.

What we’re looking for

This role is best suited to LGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers with HIAB / loader crane certification who are confident carrying out lifting operations as part of planned transport and site-based work.

You’re likely a good fit if you:

  • Hold a valid LGV Class 1 licence with Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • Hold a current HIAB / loader crane qualification
  • Have experience carrying out HIAB lifting operations in accordance with site procedures
  • Understand the importance of communication, planning, and safe working practices
