Vehicles should have high-visibility rear chevrons and side markings. These are typically in reflective red and yellow patterns, to ensure good visibility in all levels of light.
We have a diverse range of HIABs on our fleet, enabling us to provide the correct lifting and transport method for your requirements, each and every time. With both Articulated and Rigid vehicles available, we can offer a range of lifting capabilities to fulfil the needs of your project, whatever these may be.
HIABs are self loading vehicles, expertly operated by our trained and experienced driver/operators. We undertake lifting and transport services daily, efficiently removing and transporting an array of items and loads, carefully locating them in their new location or end destination.
HIABs provide crane-assisted support for projects of all types and sizes, within their capabilities. We have four different crane types permanently on-fleet, with access to others on sub-contract hire as and when needed. Each crane has a different loading and carrying capacity and we’re happy to advise which will be best suited to your project. This will depend on the weight of the item you need to lift and how far it needs to be moved.
HIABs have a maximum capacity of between 10 and 12 tonnes, but rest assured, we can cater for heavier loads too with our CPA Mobile Crane service.
We prioritise safety in all our services and operations. This starts with ensuring that our driver/operators are trained to the highest standards, both in terms of maintaining their driving credentials, as well as investing in training on the operational side when it comes to plant operation and knowledge.
We have an in-house CPCS Appointed Person in Lifting Operations, who you can utilise for your project, and we can also supply you with specialist Lift Supervisors and Slingers if required.
You can rest assured that we’re also Chapter 8 compliant in all our HIAB operations. Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual sets out guidelines aimed at ensuring safety for workers and the general public on roads and highways, particularly during temporary situations such as a HIAB truck undertaking operations or making a delivery.
Vehicles should have high-visibility rear chevrons and side markings. These are typically in reflective red and yellow patterns, to ensure good visibility in all levels of light.
Additional lighting, such as flashing amber beacons, is required to ensure that the vehicle is visible at a distance, during the day, at night, and in poor weather conditions.
Proper signage is needed to inform other road users of the vehicle's presence and the nature of the work being undertaken, if applicable.
