Transport Manager

I joined A R Banks in 2019 and work in the office one day a week. My role is varied and my main responsibilities include taking care of the operators licence compliance, drivers’ hours compliance, managing schedules for vehicle maintenance, overseeing FORS compliance, processing licence checks for drivers, and coordinating the driver drug and alcohol testing schedule.

My career background is diverse and I currently work as an independent transport consultant. I’ve always been interested in transport; when I was little my dad had a few lorries and that’s where my interest came from. I even hold an HGV licence myself, though the thought of driving one now is very daunting!

It’s a lovely office to work in, the whole team is great and the role is interesting - there’s always something new to learn!
