AR Banks lorries waiting for transport

Our fleet encompasses:

HIABs

Our versatile fleet of HIABs can lift objects of all shapes and sizes, and safely transport these items to its next destination. We’ve carefully designed each of our HIABs to meet the requirements of differing industries, tailoring them for different weights and reaches, meaning we have a crane to suit every lift and project's requirement.

Please note: HIABs are a brand of Lorry Loader, but much like vacuums are often referred to as Hoovers (a vacuum brand), everyone knows Lorry Loaders as HIABs!

Lowloader & Wafer Deck

Our Lowloaders are ideal for moving heavy, wide or tall loads, with a maximum weight capacity of 160 tonnes. Paired with our Heavy Haulage Tractor Units, our specialist Lowloaders & Wafer Deck Trailers assist in transporting a diverse range of items.

Rigid Tipper

Our 8-wheel, (32 tonne) Rigid Tippers are ideal for transporting bulk materials such as primary and recycled aggregates, topsoils, inert waste, and hazardous and non- hazardous materials throughout Hampshire and the surrounding areas.

Flatbeds

Our fleet of Flatbeds, which have a flat, open bed without sides or a roof, enable a wide range of transport requirements to be fulfilled; particularly in relation to the moving of heavy, large or abnormal loads. We have both Rigid and Articulated Flatbeds on our fleet, allowing you to choose the level of manoeuvrability you need.

Mini & Midi Excavators

Our fleet of Mini and Midi Excavators work alongside our range of wheeled and tracked dumpers, offering solutions for a wide variety of Groundworks and Earthworks projects such as those in the construction, landscaping and demolition sectors.

Safety features

All of our vehicles are equipped with an array of features to ensure the safety of the driver, other road users and the general public. These include:

  • Blind Spot Monitoring
Detects vehicles or objects in the truck’s blind spots and provides warnings to the driver. All our vehicles are DVS compliant. The DVS (Direct Vision Standard) is a UK regulation aimed at improving road safety by reducing blind spots in HGVs. It assesses a driver's direct vision from the cab and mandates safety measures for vehicles with poor visibility to protect vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists.
  • Electronic Stability Control
Helps prevent skidding and loss of control by automatically applying brakes to individual wheels when necessary.
  • Lane Departure Warning System
Alerts the driver if the vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane, helping to prevent accidents caused by driver distraction or drowsiness.
  • Reversing Cameras and Sensors
Improved visibility and alerts when reversing, reducing the risk of accidents when manoeuvring in tight spaces.
  • Advanced Emergency Braking System
Automatically applies the brakes if a collision is imminent and the driver has not taken action, helping to mitigate or avoid accidents.
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
Monitors tyre pressure and alerts the driver of any issues, helping to prevent blowouts and maintain optimal handling.
  • Roll Stability Control
Helps prevent rollovers by applying brakes and reducing engine power when a rollover risk is detected.
  • High-Visibility Markings and Lights
Reflective tape, side markers, and additional lights to ensure the vehicle is visible in low-light conditions, enhancing road safety.
  • Load Securing Systems
Features such as load securing points, straps, and nets to ensure cargo is firmly secured and does not shift during transit.

Driver Training

All of our drivers undertake regular training as part of their Continuing Professional Development plans. This includes Safe Urban Driving, which gives drivers a better awareness of the risks of the road in relation to vulnerable road users such as cyclists and pedestrians, and additional training on the new tech that is regularly installed across our fleet.
