CPA Crane Hire involves the hire of a mobile or compact crane, along with a competent operator. As the crane is being hired by the customer, the overall responsibility for the safety of the lift operation lies with the customer.
This means that you’ll be required to plan and execute the lift, including the selection of the crane, the skilled personnel on site, and any necessary permits and insurance coverage.

You’ll need to select the type of crane you require, as well as specifying the necessary lifting equipment needed such as slings, chains and shackles. Selecting the right crane is critical for the efficiency and safety of the lifting operation; mobile cranes offer flexibility and reach, while compact cranes are ideal for confined spaces and urban environments.
Detailed lift planning will be a requirement of your project. Comprehensive lift plans and method statements, outlining the lifting sequence, equipment setup, and safety measures will need to be completed prior to the lift to reduce the risk of errors and accidents.
Qualified and experienced crane operators and site staff are integral to safe lifting operations. We’ll provide the crane operator along with the crane, but you’ll need to ensure you have correct staff on the ground to ensure the entire lift operation is executed smoothly, safely, and in accordance with best practices and regulatory standards.
Your appointed person will oversee the entire lifting operation, ensuring compliance with the lift plan and safety protocols, so it’s critical to appoint the right person to this role.
You’ll need to comply with the relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and ensure that you have adequate insurance coverage in place, including public liability and equipment damage insurance. This protection ensures that all parties are safeguarded against potential risks.
